WWE News: Sheamus all but confirms Superstar Shake-up following WrestleMania

Has the Superstar Shake-up been confirmed?

What's the story?

There have been rumours over the past few weeks that there will be another Superstar Shake-up following this year's WrestleMania, much like last year since the pay-per-view brand split is seemingly coming to an end. There has been no confirmation of this from WWE as of yet, but it seems that Sheamus all but confirmed it this week on Raw.

In case you didn't know...

Sheamus and Cesaro have been on Raw ever since the brand split back in 2016 and have been paired together for more than a year as well ever since Mick Foley decided that the longtime enemies could work better together rather than against each other.

It seems that the duo could be looking to move brands now that they are struggling to find competition since they haven't yet had a match officially announced for WrestleMania and they don't feel like they have the backing of Raw General Manager Kurt Angle despite being Champions.

The heart of the matter

Sheamus and Cesaro have created a number of enemies over the past few weeks as they have pushed the Tag Team Division to its limit in their search for competition. It seems that this became a problem for them this week as many of the Tag Team Division decided to come out and prove that they were worthy of a WrestleMania title shot.

Kurt Angle didn't do a lot to help the duo this week, which could be why Sheamus hinted that in the Superstar Shake-up following WrestleMania he and Cesaro would move over to the SmackDown brand so that they could face the likes of The New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers.

What's next?

Sheamus and Cesaro's opponents at WrestleMania will be decided in a battle royal later on Raw, but it seems that the duo are unhappy with their position right now and if they feel the same way in a months time then they could be moved over to SmackDown Live.

Author's take

The Superstar Shake-up was already being rumoured since it happened at the same times last year, now that it's been pretty much confirmed, it will be interesting to see who the company decides to move in the switch-up that is rumoured to be around this year's Backlash event.
