WWE News: Sheamus injured; comments on working with injury
What’s the story?
In a video on his ‘Celtic Warriors Workouts YouTube channel’, Sheamus revealed he’s been working with a neck injury over the past 6 months.
Addressing the injury he’s had to deal with while competing in the WWE for better half of this year, Sheamus asserted that he’s had stenosis (an abnormal narrowing of a body channel) in his neck, while also explaining how he’s rehabbing the injury—
In case you didn’t know…
Sheamus is one of the WWE’s most consistent Superstars and has been so over the past few years.
For someone who competes as frequently as ‘The Celtic Warrior’ does in the sport of professional wrestling, injuries are commonplace.
The heart of the matter
Sheamus notes several useful workout tips on the aforementioned YouTube channel, and the veteran WWE Superstar let fans in on something intimate to him—the serious case of stenosis he’s been suffering in his neck. He stated—
“So, for the last 6 months I’ve been suffering from serious stenosis; neck issues. Today I’m gonna talk about rehab and recovery.”
Furthermore, Sheamus emphasized that a useful piece of rehab equipment called a ‘Neck Hammock’ has been helping him deal with the condition, and compete despite having stenosis in his neck.
The Celtic Warrior also showcased the correct technique to use the Hammock, adding that one has to suspend it from a suitable height and lay down on the ground while resting one’s head on the Hammock for about 20 minutes.
What’s next?
As of this writing, it’s unknown whether or not Sheamus’ disclosure of his injury may affect WWE’s immediate plans for his character.
Sportskeeda will keep fans updated on Sheamus’ recovery process, and WWE timetable as this story develops.
Author’s take
Sheamus is probably one of the toughest performers in the sport today.
Stenosis is no child’s play and can cause serious discomfort to the person suffering from it. Here’s hoping Sheamus makes a quick and speedy recovery from the condition. After all, he’s a Celtic Warrior.
