What is next for these two?

What's the story?

A recent WWE house show in Buffalo, New York, witnessed a shocking turn of events between Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt in the aftermath of the Ultimate Deletion. It now looks like Wyatt and Hardy will go from being rivals to joining forces with one another.

In case you didn’t know…

Matt Hardy started displaying his 'Broken' gimmick in full force back in November, after losing a match to Bray Wyatt on Raw. The duo have been involved in a feud ever since, which culminated in the two fighting it out in the Ultimate Deletion match at the Hardy Compound, which aired on Raw last week.

After Hardy picked up the win, Wyatt was nowhere to be seen, and rumours have been rampant that a change in gimmick was in the works for the Eater of Worlds. We reported that Wyatt appeared at a live show in Kitchener, apparently unchanged. It now looks like WWE has different plans for the former head of the Wyatt Family.

The heart of the matter

A fan uploaded video is doing the rounds from the Live Event in Buffalo, NY, which shows Hardy and Wyatt hugging in the ring. Thanks to @wweliteguy for the video update:

It looks like WWE now plans to have the two stars team up and possibly form a 'Woken' faction, along with 'Brother Nero' Jeff Hardy. Matt Hardy also recently sent out a tweet urging Wyatt to 'Embrace the Light' and 'Prime for change', in response to Wyatt's first statement after the Ultimate Deletion.

What's next?

We are only two weeks away from WrestleMania 34 and it is still not clear what WWE has in store for these Superstars. Hopefully, something good is on the way.

Author's take

I was a huge fan of Bray Wyatt during his initial run as the Leader of the Wyatt Family, with his intriguing entrance and spooky promos, but it soon became stale.

Maybe the former WWE Champion can find his footing again in a stable of 'Woken Warriors'.
