WWE News: Stephanie McMahon on talks with Ronda Rousey about WWE appearance

Ronda Rousey will fight Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.

Stephanie McMahon recently spoke at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Next Gen Summit in California, where she spoke about her current role in the company and much more.

At the summit, Stephanie was asked about the recent rumours of UFC Superstar Ronda Rousey’s potential return, to which she responded:

"We would love to have her at WWE”

She also added that she had brought the topic to Rousey and stated that they had discussed it “loosely”.

Rousey appeared along with The Rock at Wrestlemania 31 to confront “The Authority”. Her appearance was memorable, given the fact that she drove Triple H and Stephanie out of the ring to stand tall in a surprising segment. You watch the historic segment right here:

Rousey had previously admitted to “Rolling Stone” that she found the Wrestlemania 31 experience great, and also revealed that she would be open to working with the WWE again and be an integral part of the women’s revolution.

"I've seen NXT, I remember Nattie and Charlotte's match for the title, Nattie was actually training with the original Four Horsewomen to get ready for that fight. I have so many obligations, but I really want to find a way to make it happen. I'm a huge fan wrestling, and I would like to see the position of women in the sport continue to improve, so if I can be a part of it, great."

Rousey’s sensational UFC career might come to a close, pretty soon, after she hinted that her fight at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes would be one of her last. The addition of Ronda Rousey to the women’s roster would give it much-needed star power, and also help draw viewers for Wrestlemania 33.

Rumours of Rousey’s return hit a fever pitch after the WWE released a video following Rousey’s statement, Here is the video:
