WWE News: Sting opens up on his next project, the Mount Rushmore of wrestling and more

One more match....One more match....One more match!

What's the story?

Sting continued to make his presence felt in the Comic-Con circuit as the WWE Hall of Famer was in attendance at the Wales Comic Con last weekend.

He was part of an insightful Q&A session at the event in which he shed some light on his future and revealed the WWE legend he wished he had a match against, among other interesting topics.

In case you didn't know...

Possibly the biggest WWE debut of the decade, the Vigilante's iconic arrival at Survivor Series 2014 after crafting a legendary 29-year career in some of WWE's biggest rivals proves the old adage 'never say never right.

Sting's fairytale WWE run ended in unfortunate fashion when a botched buckle bomb courtesy of Seth Rollins at Night of Champions in 2014 aggravated his battered neck.

Stinger was forced to announced his retirement and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2016 as the headline inductee. Despite his current in-ring status, the WCW legend has taken a cue from Daniel Bryan and has constantly teased a return to the squared circle, but there's a catch.

The heart of the matter

Fans posed a host of questions and Sting didn't disappoint with some quoteworthy answers. The WCW legend named Randy Savage as his first idol when he got into the business back in 1985. The Macho Man's colourful persona and outrageous antics fascinated Sting.

When asked about the one favourite match that he was never involved in, the 6-time WCW Champion expressed his regret of not going toe to toe with Shawn Michaels. "Shawn could have a match with a broomstick and it would still be entertaining," Sting said.

Sting was asked about the holy grail of pro wrestling and who he would have in his own version of the Mount Rushmore.

"Andre the Giant, gotta have him there. Hulk Hogan, for sure. The Rock and Ric Flair."

Last but not the least, he was questioned about his future and what he intends to do next, whether it would be wrestling or an outside venture. He revealed his plans of getting back into the real estate business. He mentioned being successful in the field along with his wife years ago and wanted to eclipse it in the free time he has.

What's next?

We're sure that Sting's real estate aspirations wouldn't hinder a match against the Undertaker if WWE comes knocking on the door. The Undertaker is scheduled to return on the 25th-anniversary episode of Raw in January and could build up his final match for WrestleMania 34.

Sting is the last probable option but the one fans want to see the most.

Author's take

It's great to see the former TNA World Champion make public appearances on a regular basis and give his take on the current scene and his thoughts on the past.

As much as I wish to see him back and just get done with the Undertaker dream match, it's better the Icon stays at home considering the hazards of a neck injury.
