WWE News: Tamina provides an update on her injury via Twitter
What's the story?
WWE Superstar Tamina provided an update via her Twitter account @TaminaSnuka on the injury to her shoulder that has kept her out of action since late January. Tamina got one step closer to returning to the ring today.
In case you didn't know...
Tamina is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. Tamina got her start in pro wrestling in 2009 and debuted on Raw in 2010 alongside The Usos feuding with the Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, and Natalya).
The heart of the matter...
Tamina's last appearance in the WWE was at the groundbreaking first women's Royal Rumble match on January 28th. She would enter in the match 7th and she was eliminated by Lita after being in the match a minute and a half.
A little over a week after the Royal Rumble, Tamina would reveal on Instagram that she was undergoing surgery...
Tamina suffered a shoulder tear and the surgery happened the day after the Royal Rumble. Typical shoulder surgeries sideline a wrestler for four to six months, and there is a chance that Tamina could be back by SummerSlam.
She would tweet an update on her Twitter account today stating that she will be out of the arm sling on Wednesday; which is the next step on her road to recovery.
What's next?
Continued rehab on the shoulder to get the range of motion back will be the next step for Tamina. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for the latest on the road to recovery for Tamina.
Author's take...
It's good to see that Tamina is progressing along nicely after the shoulder surgery. She was on the cusp of a push finally in the women's division of SmackDown before the injury, and hopefully, she can get back to the top of the division once she gets back.
