What’s the story?

The Big Show has taken to social media so as to show off his intense training ahead of his WWE return.

Addressing his WWE comeback, Big Show asserted that he is indeed getting stronger every day and looking forward to his “Giant return”.

In case you didn’t know…

Big Show has competed in the sport of professional wrestling since 1995.

The 45-year-old has performed for several notable promotions such as WCW and the WWE; having previously held the WCW World Heavyweight title as well as the WWE Championship among several other accolades as well.

The heart of the matter

Big Show last appeared on WWE television programming on the September 4th, 2017 episode of Monday Night RAW; competing in a Steel Cage Match against Braun Strowman—one in which Strowman ended up sending Big Show right through the cage, thereby enabling WWE to write the World’s Largest Athlete off its storylines.

As we’d previously reported, the aforementioned angle allowed Big Show to step away from WWE competition, following which he underwent successful hip surgery late last year. The former WWE Champion has since returned to the gym.

Big Show’s rehabilitation & return seem to have reached another crescendo as he can be seen engaging in a bench press; hyping his WWE return—

Getting stronger everyday... #GiantReturn

What’s next?

A certain section of the professional wrestling industry experts believes that Big Show may retire this year, however, similar claims were made in 2017 as well.

Fans can expect Big Show to return to the WWE this year, nevertheless, the veteran WWE Superstar has previously alluded that whether or not he continues as an in-ring competitor depends on how his body holds up while competing in the WWE.

Author’s take

The Big Show is a legend, and should he choose to walk away from the sport right now, his legacy remains secure regardless.

That said, it’d be awesome to see Big Show get a respectable send-off, possibly in a prominent matchup at Wrestlemania 34 this April.
