WWE News: The reason why Shane McMahon was added in the Survivor Series match

Shane McMahon brought in to sell more seats?

Shane McMahon has replaced Baron Corbin for the five-on-five Survivor Series match. The bold move has received a lot of criticism from WWE Universe, as doubts have been raised over Shane-O-Mac’s level of fitness.

Shane McMahon took on Twitter to express his joy on becoming the part of Team Blue!

Its has recently been reported by Cageside Seats that the change was made due to the injury that Baron Corbin suffered at the hands of Kalisto and the fact that McMahon’s inclusion would sell more seats.

While the legitimacy of The Lone Wolf’s injuries has not been confirmed, adding McMahon to the match might prove to be a wrong decision, if it turns out that Corbin’s injuries were a part of the storyline. However, if the decision was made with the intention to sell seats, it might pan out as a strategic victory for the WWE.

Ever since its inception, the Blue Brand has been considered a ‘B’ show when compared to RAW, though their ratings have soared up recently. Their latest adjustment would see, AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt along with Shane McMahon, take on RAW’s finest five.

The five-on-five match at Survivor Series will also mark Shane’s return to in-ring action. His last appearance was against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 32, in a highly entertaining encounter.

Shane McMahon has previously been a part of Survivor Series five-on-five match, in 2001. He was a member of the Alliance team, in WWF Vs Alliance match. His team lost the fight, but Shane-O-Mac was praised for his courage and performance.
