WWE News: The Revival turns face at NXT live event

The Revival shocked the South Carolina fans last night!

What's the story?

Following last night's NXT Live event in South Carolina, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival shocked the crowd when they made a face turn after the main event of the evening.

In case you didn't know....

The Revival made their official main roster debut during the Raw after ‘Mania edition of WWE's flagship show. During a segment in which The New Day surfaced and made an open challenge, much to the surprise of the WWE Universe, The Revival came out, answered the open challenge and defeated The New Day.

The following week, Wilder and Dawson would once again beat The New Day on Raw.

The heart of the matter

YouTube user Denis Lukovic posted a video from last night's NXT live event in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In the video, it shows what appears to be The Revival turning on Bobby Roode and The Authors of Pain and assisting Nakamura and Dillinger as they seemingly made a full babyface turn.

What's next?

The real question is this: what will happen this coming Monday Night on RAW? Will WWE’s creative powers that be allow The Revival to stick with the face turn, or will it be business as normal? It seems they will continue to be heels on the main roster as they are still finding their feet with their ruthless act.

Author's take

I am so torn on this one. On one hand, I can see how the company would want to make the new tag team get over with fans and give them the edge by having the audience in their pocket. However, The Revival mirrors the brute heel teams of the older eras, such as Tully and Arn of The Brainbusters.

Deep down, these guys are just supposed to be bad dudes. Either way, I’ll be perfectly fine, just as long as they don't change their style. The face turn may just be for the NXT fans, who consider the team as legends down at Full Sail for their exemplary services.
