WWE News: The Rock currently suffering from a shoulder injury
What's the story?
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson may have potentially suffered a shoulder injury.
As per his social media post, the former WWE Champion has suffered a labrum tear.
In case you didn't know...
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is widely regarded as one of the most influential professional wrestlers of all time.
The People's Champion is now one of Hollywood's highest-paid actors and continues to make sporadic appearances for the WWE.
The heart of the matter
A fan tagged The Rock in his Tweet and expressed his excitement for the Great One's upcoming movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, whilst simultaneously jesting and challenging the Brahma Bull to an arm-wrestling match.
The Rock replied to the tweet of the fan and said that he would indeed beat him right now, as the WWE Superstar is currently suffering from a labrum tear.
A labrum tear often occurs owing to prior injuries in one's shoulder or simply presents itself in athletes who've been lifting weights for several years, particularly older sports-persons.
What's next?
The Rock's latest movie Jumanji, is set to release on December 25th -- a film that the WWE legend is busy promoting.
Furthermore, his recovery time-table solely depends on the severity of his labrum tear, which usually takes 3-4 weeks to heal after surgery.
Author's take
The Rock is one of the best to ever do it -- be it in sports-entertainment or Hollywood.
His injury was initially an issue that worried the Rock's fans, however, given his high spirits, the pie eatin' WWE legend is likely to return to lay the SmackDown on everybody. We, here at Sportskeeda, wish the Rock a quick and speedy recovery.
