What's the story?

Former WWE star The Rock, who is busy with an A-List Hollywood career, is gearing up for his next big movie release this summer with "Hobbs & Shaw", a spinoff in the highly successful "Fast & Furious" franchise.

According to WWE star Sami Zayn, The Rock was at the Performance Center this week as he bumped into Zayn and the two discussed Zayn's current Sami For Syria campaign.

In case you didn't know...

One year ago, while on a media tour for his movie "Skyscraper", The Rock took some time to speak with WWE's Cathy Kelley on the "Skyscraper" red carpet, and told Kelley that he "can't wait to get back into a WWE ring."

Since making the comment, there has been no word as to whether or not The Rock has any plans to return to a WWE ring, but with Rock's incredibly busy film and television schedule, it appears impossible he would be able to return to the company for any lengthy period of time.

The heart of the matter

WWE star Sami Zayn noted on Twitter today that he bumped into The Rock at the WWE Performance Center this week while Zayn was getting his shoulders checked out. For those who do not recall, Zayn had extensive shoulder surgery performed in 2018 from which he recently returned to action.

What's next?

It's unknown why The Rock was visiting the WWE Performance Center this week, but given The Great One tends to work a lot in Florida, it's possible he was stopping by the state-of-the-art facility for a number of reasons which could include a great workout.

The Rock's "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" will open in United States theaters on August 2nd, and will feature WWE star Roman Reigns in a supporting role.
