WWE News: The Shield lead the charge for Raw Invasion
The Shield led the Raw roster in an invasion of SmackDown Live as revenge for SmackDown's invasion of Monday Night Raw weeks ago.
During the tag team main event between Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn against The New Day, The Shield interrupted the match and made their way to the ring.
Zayn, Owens and The New Day were surrounded by Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns, but Zayn and Owens bailed on the New Day and left them vulnerable for The Shield to attack them.
The Usos made their way to the ring to even the odds against The Shield, but Cesaro and Sheamus made their way to the ring to offset them.
The Raw Women’s Team made their way backstage, busted into the SmackDown Locker room and assaulted the SmackDown’s Women’s Division. Charlotte was about to get back up, but was hit by her Raw counterpart Alexa Bliss.
Samoa Joe, Finn Bálor, Apollo Crews, and Titus O’Neil made their way to the ring to continue the attack from Raw, but Shane McMahon lead Baron Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, and others to the ring to counter the Raw Invasion.
The SmackDown superstars seemed to be gaining the advantage for a while, but Kurt Angle would up the ante by signaling Braun Strowman to come to the ring and lay waste to every SmackDown superstar in the ring.
The Shield held up McMahon against the ropes and showed them the SmackDown superstars laid out around the ring and continued to shout, “you did this to them.”
The Shield held McMahon down while Angle made his way to the ring, but Angle hoisted McMahon up and said “How does this feel? You think this is bad? Just wait for Sunday,” and signalled for The Shield to deliver the Triple Powerbomb.
They then handed McMahon back to Angle who delivered an Angle Slam to the Smackdown Commissioner. McMahon attempted to get back to his feet, but The Shield hoisted him up and delivered a second Triple Powerbomb.
The show ended with all the Raw superstars on the SmackDown ramp with tensions high heading into Sunday for the Survivor Series pay-per-view.
