What's the story?

During a recent appearance on Talk is Jericho, the Singh Brothers admitted that they would eventually have to split with Jinder Mahal and potentially return to being the Bollywood Boyz.

In case you didn't know...

The Singh Brothers, aka The Bollywood Boyz, were called up to the main roster as a part of the re-introduced Cruiserweight Division on 205 LIVE. The duo worked a few matches on the purple brand before getting reassigned as Jinder Mahal's chaperones.

The two helped Mahal win the WWE World Championship from Randy Orton at Backlash and then went on to help him retain the title in his subsequent defences.

The heart of the matter

During the interview, it was Samir Singh who brought up the topic of eventually splitting up from Jinder Mahal. Samir said that right now their job was to take bumps and sell Mahal's opponent's moves.

"We were brought up [to the main roster] for a specific reason, to help Jinder. And eventually, it's going to be 'you guys have to part with him'."

He further added that he and his brother both knew that their tenure under Jinder was limited and that they would eventually have to return to being the Bollywood Boyz.

What's next?

Right now, Samir & Sunil have their hands full as The Modern Day Maharaja will take on the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in a "Champion vs Champion Match" at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV.

A few weeks later, Mahal will defend his WWE World Championship against Kevin Owens at WWE's live event in India. Reports suggest that the Indo-Canadian Superstar will hold on to the title until WrestleMania 34, where he's expected to face John Cena.

Author's take

This run with Jinder Mahal has helped the Singh Brothers a great deal and has given them more television time than they would've had otherwise. However, they will return to begin a prelim act when they split from him.
