WWE News: The Undertaker looked to be in great shape while backstage at Survivor Series

The Phenom was seen backstage at Survivor Series

What's the story?

You never know who can be hanging out backstage at a major WWE event, especially one in Texas. Jerry Lawler recently opened up on his podcast Dinner With The King where he discussed seeing one WWE legend backstage during WWE's Big Four PPV event and he said The Undertaker looked good.

In case you didn't know...

The Undertaker has been away from the ring since his WrestleMania 33 loss to Roman Reigns. A lot of people assumed by how he took off his coat, hat, and gloves after the match that he was leaving everything including his shoo-in Hall Of Fame career in the ring as well.

Survivor Series was in Houston Texas this year which isn't far from where The Undertaker resides. Therefore, it shouldn't have been a huge surprise to see him show up. It's just too bad The Phenom didn't make an appearance during the big show.

The heart of the matter

Although the status of his career might be in question to some degree, The Undertaker is still doing pretty well. Jerry Lawler said on Dinner With The King that when you show up and look as good as Taker appeared in WWE the general assumption is usually that he's ready to come back.

Lawler mentioned how we're getting closer to WrestleMania and he doesn't think the 33rd edition of the Show Of Shows was the last time we've seen The Dead Man in the ring.

Although Jerry Lawler once thought The Undertaker was retiring, he is now going back on his initial opinion when he said, "I think there's some more matches left in the Undertaker."

What's next?

Only time will tell if The Undertaker comes back for any kind of match. But hopefully, he'll make it back to the ring if his body can handle it. After all, The Undertaker might present a mystique of immortality, but the man's body has been beaten up a lot in his historic career.

Author's take

WrestleMania 33's conclusion was heartbreaking for Undertaker fans but it was a suitable way to end things. It was almost a perfect way to end the character. If Taker does come back for any reason, I just hope they're able to give him another send-off that would be just as fitting.
