WWE News: The Undertaker posts cryptic message about when he will retire
What's the story?
The Undertaker missed his first WrestleMania in several years, which, along with his recent activity outside of the ring such as getting an Instagram and Twitter account and booking himself for conventions, lead people to believe he may have finally called time on his legendary in-ring career.
But following his shock appearance on Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 'The Deadman' himself has cryptically commented on when he will retire.
In case you didn't know...
The Undertaker has made sporadic appearances with WWE of late, with matches at The Greatest Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel Saudi Arabia shows and WrestleMania 34. His latest in-ring appearance saw 'The Phenom' interrupt an Elias performance and lay out the musical Superstar.
It is widely expected that this run-in with 'The Drifter' is to set up a match between the two at WWE's next, as yet untitled, Saudi Arabia show. This would indicate that 'Taker doesn't have any plans to retire soon!
The heart of the matter
This is something that Undertaker himself has seemingly confirmed when he posted a series of backstage photos of him at Monday Night Raw in the Barclays Center, and attached a rather telling T.S.Elliot quote to them.
As you can see he added "Only those who will risk going to[o] far can possibly find out how far one can go". The obvious meaning behind this quote being that he intends to keep wrestling until he decides he's gone 'too far'.
What's next?
I'm uncertain how I feel about The Undertaker's continued in-ring presence. His match against Roman Reigns was the perfect occasion to call time on his career, but it seems to have kept going and going to varied results.
That being said the crowd went absolutely nuts when he made a surprise appearance at Monday Night Raw so there's definitely still some mileage as far as crowd reactions to seeing him goes.
