WWE News: Three Superstars qualify for Men's Elimination Chamber Match on Monday Night RAW
What's the story?
John Cena, Braun Strowman, and Elias are three of the six Superstars who will be taking part in the Men's WWE Elimination Chamber Match at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View.
The winner of the match will go on to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania.
In case you didn't know...
The Elimination Chamber is set to be a historic night as Stephanie McMahon announced on Monday Night RAW that, as well as the men's match with the three above Superstars in it, this year's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will also contain the first ever Women's Elimination Chamber match.
The heart of the matter
Before RAW started Kurt Angle announced via a video posted on social media that there would be three qualifying matches for spots in the Chamber match, you can check that video out below.
In the first qualifying match, Braun Strowman absolutely murdered Kane by tipping up the stage that the announce table was on onto him, winning the Last Man Standing match and earning a spot in the Chamber.
After that Elias managed to get a cheap victory over 'Woken' Matt Hardy after the latter was distracted by his current nemesis Bray Wyatt.
Then in the main event of RAW, in what some will surely consider a surprise, John Cena defeated Finn Balor with a Super Attitude Adjustment to pick up a Chamber spot, much to the dismay of the Philly crowd who seemed to be getting to Cena throughout the match.
What's next?
I imagine next week's RAW will feature the final three qualifying matches although we have no idea what they'll be and who'll be in them. Although I'm willing to bet a substantial amount of money that Roman Reigns will be in at least one of them.
Author's take
It seems weird to me that Finn Balor won't be in the Chamber match after that Royal Rumble 'Iron Man' performance. However, I am glad that Elias has earned a spot given how excellent he is on a weekly basis.
