WWE News: Tickets for post-Wrestlemania Raw sold out
We are just months away from the 33rd edition of the WWE’s grandest annual event, Wrestlemania. The pay-per-view has already garnered so much interest that even the tickets for the Raw, which takes place on the following night, have been sold out.
The show, which will witness that aftermath of the events that transpire at Wrestlemania 33, is scheduled to take place at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida. As reported by Dave Meltzer on Figure Four Online, around 14,000 tickets went up for sale to the public on December 2nd and were picked up in a flash.
Tickets for the post-Mania episode of SmackDown Live may not have sold out but have been selling quite quickly. This kind of response is certainly incredible, considering the fact that not even a single match for WM 33 has been set up yet.
Meanwhile, there has already been a lot of speculation about the matches that we may see at the prestigious pay-per-view. One of the rumours is about a face-off between John Cena and The Undertaker, both of whom last feuded back in the year 2003. Here is the video of their match at Vengeance 2003:
This contest is being looked at as a possible farewell match for ‘The Phenom’, before his retirement from in-ring action. Recently, there has also been talk of a match between Shane McMahon and Triple H at Wrestlemania 33.
Considering the fact that both of them are stakeholders in the WWE and that Shane has been an on-screen rival to his sister and Triple H’s wife, Stephanie McMahon, in his role as SmackDown Live commissioner, it will not be difficult to find an angle for creating a background story for the match.
Perhaps, one match that is almost sure to happen is between NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and The Big Show. The two big men have been speaking about it, for quite some time and Show had even confirmed earlier this year that the match was going to happen. Below is a video of the last time the two men came face-to-face in a WWE ring:
