WWE News: Tickets sell out for RAW and SmackDown Live in the UK
What's the story?
Both RAW and SmackDown Live will air from the United Kingdom, this coming week, as the brands make their bi-annual trip to English shores. WWE received some good news, just ahead of both shows being telecast.
While the live attendance for WWE has fallen in the United States, in the recent past, both shows were sold out in the United Kingdom. We thank F4WOnline's Daily Updates for the said figures.
In case you didn't know...
The superstars of WWE are already on tour in the United Kingdom, and from the looks of it, the shows seem to be going off very well indeed.
Next week, both shows will be airing from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, and the response has been really quite fabulous indeed.
This is heartening news for the brand, in the light of falling live attendance and declining television ratings in the United States market.
The heart of the matter
The fans in the United Kingdom do not get to witness RAW and SmackDown Live as often as their compatriots in the United States do, and therefore, the interest is indeed significantly higher.
They are also known to be loud and vocal, so expect a crazy show on both Monday and Tuesday evening. All 14000 seats in the Manchester Arena have been sold out, and we are certain that those in WWE must be thrilled at just how hungry fans in the UK are, right now.
What's next?
Both RAW and SmackDown Live will be taped shows because of the time difference with the United States.
While WWE has been known to not pull out all the stops for such shows, we expect this time to be different. Especially SmackDown Live, with the huge AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal match for the top prize in WWE.
Author's take
I love WWE's UK shows, considering just how loud the fans traditionally are. I expect the shows next week to be just as crazy as past instances. Let's hope that the shows deliver too!
