WWE has a long history of signing athletes from all over the world to strengthen their roster. More often than not, it has paid off handsomely for the organization. Most notable among the list is Kurt Angle, who was a former Olympic Gold Medallist. Brock Lesnar was a legit Wrestler with a NCAA Championship to boast at the age of 20 while Mark Henry was a competitor in the 1996 Olympics for weightlifting.

Stars like Goldberg, Roman Reigns were footballers before they took up Professional Wrestling. The latest addition to the list will be Tim Wiese, a former goalkeeper for Germany. Tim will be teaming up with Cesaro and Sheamus to take on the team of Bo Dallas and The Shinning Stars on 3rd November in a live event in Munich.

Following is the photo for the event posted by WWE on its Website-

Tim was a squad member of the 2014 World Cup Squad for Germany and has a total of six caps for the national squad.

On 17th September 2014, Wiese announced his retirement from professional football stating: "I am not a dreamer, but a realist and I assume that I have my best years behind me and I will no longer play as a professional.".

Ever since then, Tim has shown a lot of interest in the WWE. Tim Wiese appeared as a special timekeeper in a match between The Usos and Goldust and Stardust in November 2014 at a Live Event in Frankfurt, Germany.

Earlier this year, the 6-foot-4, 284-pound former Bundesliga goalkeeper was personally invited to train with Triple H – the Executive Vice President of WWE and a 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative.

Tim made full use of the opportunity and has been training extensively ever since. In September, he spent a week in the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florido training alongside other NXT developmentals under the guidance of Head Coach Matt Bloom. He has been working out daily in Cologne at a training facility complete with a specially constructed ring.

“It’s awesome to make my first WWE appearance in such a great match,” said Wiese. “I worked hard for this moment, and I can't wait to step into the WWE ring together with Cesaro and Sheamus.” he added.
