WWE News: Titus O'Neil reveals what Apollo Crews needs to achieve in order to become WWE Champion
What’s the story?
Titus O’Neil recently appeared on Busted Open Radio, where he spoke about his current Titus Worldwide teammate Apollo Crews and stated if Crews has what it takes to become WWE Champion or be in the main event scene within the WWE.
In case you didn’t know…
In April of 2017, Crews caught the attention of Titus O’Neil’s new "Titus Brand" after being drafted to Raw and was eventually recruited to the brand by O’Neill. Ever since being recruited to the Titus Worldwide, he has been teaming up with Titus O’Neil on regular occasions on Monday Night Raw.
The two men recently challenged for the Raw Tag Team Titles in a match against The Bar, in which they were eventually unsuccessful in capturing the titles.
The heart of the matter
During his latest interview with Busted Open Radio, Titus O’Neil commented on Crews’ true potential and stated that the latter has everything it takes to win WWE’s top prize, that is, the WWE Championship. He additionally said that Crews is one of the most athletic guys on the current roster. However, he also mentioned that Crews realizes the fact athleticism alone is not going to take a superstar to the top of the mountain in the WWE.
Titus also added, in order to become the top guy in WWE, one has to have the charisma and character development and that's the sole reason why Crews has been added to the Titus Worldwide group. Lastly, the former tag team champion said that the Titus Worldwide is giving him a chance to open up more and not just come out, smile, look good and do cool moves.
What’s next?
As the Titus Worldwide slowly keeps on developing through the ranks on Monday Night Raw, we also hope to see the rise of Apollo Crews in the WWE. Being a former Open The Twin Gate Champion in Dragon Gate, Crews certainly has the talent to become one of WWE’s top superstars in today’s generation.
Author’s Take
I completely agree with Titus O’ Neil’s statement and I do believe that Crews is definitely WWE Championship material, judging by his in-ring capabilities. However, as Titus mentioned a WWE superstar also has to work on his/her charisma and character in order to become the top star within the company.
