What’s the story?

WWE NXT superstar and one of the best independent female wrestlers in the world, Candice LeRae, earlier today teased the possibility of joining NJPW’s legendary faction, the Bullet Club.

In case you didn’t know…

Candice LeRae is mostly known for her work on the Independent scene for promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Bar Wrestling, CZW and many more.

LeRae has also wrestled occasionally for WWE’s developmental territory of NXT where she had previously competed in a #1 contender’s battle royal for the NXT Women’s Championship. Candice also took part in WWE’s inaugural Mae Young Classic earlier this year, where she defeated Nicole Savoy and reached the quarterfinals, before being eliminated by Shayna Baszler.

The heart of the matter

Earlier today on Twitter, Bullet Club member and one half of the Young Bucks, Matt Jackson was asked by a fan when the Bullet Club is going to be adding a female member to their group.

Matt would go on to give a cheeky reply to the fan by stating that the Bullet Club would consider adding a female member when Candice LeRae eventually decides to join the dark side [Referring to the Bullet Club].

Moments later, LeRae herself would give a reply to Jackson’s tweet as she would go on to hint towards the possibility of her joining the group led by Kenny Omega in the future.

The Bullet Club has had only two female members in the past in Amber O’Neal (wife of former member Luke Gallows) and La Comandante. During her time with the faction, Amber was dubbed as the “Bullet Babe” and accompanied the likes of Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Tama Tonga to the ring.

What’s next?

Candice LeRae is currently working both as a singles performer as well as a tag team performer in the Indies where she is one half of the World’s Cutest Tag Team along with Joey Ryan. LeRae and Ryan are considered to be one of the best tag teams on the planet, and Candice herself has taken part in some of the most brutal Intergender matches on the Independent scene.

It will be interesting if LeRae decides to leave NXT and jump ship to NJPW or ROH in the near future. However, one factor that is likely to keep Candice in NXT is her husband Johnny Gargano who is currently working under the NXT brand.

Author’s Take

I don’t see Candice LeRae leaving WWE anytime soon and signing a contract with Women of Honor. However, if the 32-year-old does sign with Women of Honor, we could expect her to join the Bullet Club in the future.
