WWE News: Top superstar dropped from live events

AJ Styles has had a tough time in recent months

WWE Superstar AJ Styles, who hasn’t had it easy in recent times due to injury, has been withdrawn from this weekend’s Live Events yet again by the franchise. The company is seemingly taking no chances with Styles’ injury due to his status with the fans, and want to hold him off in order to avoid further complications – reports allwrestlingnews.com.

The cause for the wrestler’s grief is an injured ankle, which he picked up during a SmackDown taping in San Diego last month. Styles’ problem with his ankle is a recurring one, with the wrestler having had ankle issues during his stint with TNA and NJPW too.

However, all is not lost for Styles, who will be making an appearance at an Extreme Rules match this Sunday to challenge WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns for his title.

When Styles picked up his injury in April he assured his fans a speedy return, but has been used sparingly so far due to understandable reasons. The 38-year-old has been a real rage with fans since returning to WWE after over a decade.

Big things are expected from this talented wrestler in the future.
