WWE News: Triple H congratulates The Rock on Moana's success
The Rock’s latest film, Moana, has been enjoying great critical and commercial success, ever since its release a few days back. The Walt Disney Animation film has already garnered over 80 million at the US box office in its first 5 days and promises to achieve greater heights.
One of the two primary characters in the film, Maui, has been voiced by The Rock, while newcomer Auli’i Cravalho lent her voice to the titular character, Moana. The plot of the film revolves around a girl named Moana, who sets out on a journey to find and return the stolen heart of an island goddess and is aided by Maui in her quest.

Triple H, who is WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, was among the first few people from the wrestling fraternity to congratulate The Great One on the success of his film.
In a tweet addressed to The Rock, ‘The Game’ said that he watched Moana with his wife, Stephanie McMahon, and his daughters and they all loved it. He claimed that he liked the movie in a strong, manly way and congratulated ‘Rocky’ for its success.
‘The People’s Champion’ showed his heartfelt gratitude for Triple H’s appreciation and responded with a tweet of his own. “Ha, we've been boys for 20yrs. "Strong and manly" is our jam! Thx bro and luv to all the girls from all of us Johnson's,” read the tweet.

These two WWE legends rose to prominence at pretty much the same time in the business and were among the biggest stars of the Attitude Era, alongside the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Triple H’s heated rivalry with The Rock back in those days is still remembered as one of the best in the WWE.
Among other WWE personnel who lauded ‘The Brahma Bull’ for his latest Hollywood venture was SmackDown Live commentator, David Otunga. He told The Rock via a tweet that he took his sons to watch Moana, and one of them asked him if the character ‘Maui’ is actually The Rock and was surprised that he could sing, too.
‘The Great One’ replied by stating that his son is really smart and appreciated Otunga and his kids for watching the film. His tweet read, “Lil' David's a smart young man. Appreciate you D and the Otunga boys! Glad you had fun.”
Took the boys to #Moana & Lil David whispered to me: Maui is really @therock & he can sing?! Now he wants Maui's fish hook! Go see #Moana pic.twitter.com/66ThWM0IKr
