WWE News: Triple H gives an update on future of Lars Sullivan
What's the story?
At TLC, WWE revealed that Lars Sullivan was coming to the main roster, but the dominant NXT star is still yet to appear on SmackDown Live or Monday Night Raw - prompting several rumours about his WWE status.
Triple H today confirmed Sullivan's status and future with the company.
In case you didn't know...
When Vince McMahon announced the new era of WWE a few weeks ago, several NXT call-ups were announced, with Sullivan's name showing alongside them, even though his impending debut had already been announced.
Lacey Evans, EC3, Nikki Cross and Heavy Machinery have all shown up on either Raw or SmackDown Live, but there's been no sign of Sullivan thus far. The Wrestling Observer noted that Sullivan had to go home from RAW two weeks ago after having an anxiety attack.
While these reports are unsubstantiated, the vignettes promoting Sullivan's debut seemed to fade, prompting speculation that plans may have changed with regards to his call-up to the main roster.
The heart of the matter
In a conference call today for the upcoming NXT TakeOver, Triple H was asked about Lars Sullivan and the rumours surrounding him.
According to PWInsider.com, Triple H responded that there is "always speculation and stories, all the time" before adding that "Lars is in a good place" and that nothing has really changed.
Sean Ross Sapp also summarised this on Twitter.
