WWE News: Triple H issues interesting response to UK WWE fans' demand for Wrestlemania

HHH had a witty response for the WWE fans in Norwich.

What’s the story?

The WWE recently held a show in Norwich, England that saw the English WWE fans chanting the phrase ‘We Want Mania’ at Triple H when the Game stood in the ring during the event. Not one to shy away, Triple H issued an interesting response to the UK WWE fans.

In case you didn’t know...

The WWE has never held a Wrestlemania in the United Kingdom. They had NXT Takeover: London back in 2015 that saw Finn Balor beat Samoa Joe in the headliner to retain his NXT World title.

The heart of the matter

Triple H, who is the WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, took the dais at the Norwich live event and was on the receiving end of the loud English WWE fans’ chants demanding that Wrestlemania is held in their country. The King of Kings had an interesting retort to the same. Here’s what he said:

“Oh, you want Mania? I can get you the code for the travel packages. It’s only 7 hours away. I do that journey all the time. Don’t keep b**chin’.” (*Courtesy- The Sun)

What’s next?

The WWE’s Europe tour rolls on through the middle of this month, and the promotion has, indeed, announced the dates for its next tour of the continent as well- a tour that includes shows in the United Kingdom.

In lieu of the WWE’s global expansion plans and the introduction of the United Kingdom championship, and with it the bevvy of young UK prospects, fans in the UK can expect the WWE to hold more marquee events in the region in the days to come. Nevertheless, a Wrestlemania in the UK seems less likely…for now.

Author’s take

The WWE’s biggest market is the United States of America, and if you happen to be a resident of the United Kingdom, you’ll most likely have to go by what Triple H said and make the journey to the States to watch ‘Mania in person.

But with that being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if the WWE were to organise a pay-per-view event in the UK, not the Big 4 mind you- ‘Mania, SummerSlam, Rumble, Survivor Series, but a lesser PPV such as Payback or perhaps Backlash.
