WWE News: Triple H makes an interesting revelation about Vince McMahon's relationship with NXT

This proves that Vince McMahon doesn't see NXT as a priority

What's the story?

Triple H is the brains behind NXT, but according to a recent media call, he doesn't have much of an input when it comes to losing NXT superstars to the main roster.

In case you didn't know...

NXT has become quite the phenomenon over the past few years, but whilst Triple H has worked hard to make the developmental brand a stand-alone product of its own, Vince McMahon has taken many of the biggest stars and ruined them on the main roster.

The likes of Tyler Breeze, Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura and even Sami Zayn were huge stars down in NXT before they were called up to the main roster but following their call-ups, they have seemingly floundered.

The heart of the matter

It was revealed a while back that Triple H was unaware of the most recent NXT call-ups that included Tommaso Ciampa, Ricochet, Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano and Triple H revealed on a recent media call that this was because Vince McMahon has final say about all main roster call-ups and doesn't look at how it will affect the developmental brand.

Triple H also revealed that Ciampa's injury was already known when he was promoted to the main roster but it was hoped that he could still have the pay off match with Gargano where Rebel Heart would have won the title, but his main roster call-up and exposure was the reason his injury got worse and now the NXT Universe will be denied a match that has been building for more than a year.

What's next?

Ciampa recently underwent neck surgery and will be out of action for a number of months, but he and Gargano are expected to cross paths once again in the future so hopefully, the NXT Universe will finally be given the match that they crave.
