Triple H expressed his gratitude and happiness regarding the opportunity, adding that he finds his surprise return to the house shows just as special as the fans do.
In case you didn’t know…
Triple H was one of the top stars in the professional wrestling business throughout the WWE’s Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras.
The Cerebral Assassin eventually assumed a more significant backstage role, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative. Resultantly, it’s rather rare that fans get to see him perform at live events these days.
The heart of the matter
Triple H jested that he was at his child’s school on a Saturday, but about 12 hours later flew down to Chile, preparing himself for a match at a live event whilst simultaneously understanding how strange the entire ordeal really is.
Furthermore, Triple H alluded that his performances at the recent live events were fun and a much better experience as compared to his usual routine over the past few years of jumping right into the ring during the high-pressure Wrestlemania season. The Game added:
“It's really cool to have an opportunity for a little bit of a change. As difficult as it is (physically) – you can work out in the gym all day long, it's totally different from being in the ring (and) to be able to go to these live events with these guys that I, you know, a lot of them I had a hand in them coming through the system, and remember that 'Hey, this is fun.'”
What’s next?
Triple H competes as part of Team RAW in the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series matchup at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV which takes place this Sunday.
Author’s take
Triple H truly represents the old guard of professional wrestling.
After all, very few Superstars from the Attitude era compete at the highest level today, and it’s awesome to see the WWE legend enjoy himself in the ring.
