Triple H took Jason Jordan's spot at Survivor Series

What's the story?

In an interview with NBC Sports, Triple H revealed which SmackDown Live Superstar he's most looking forward to facing at Survivor Series.

In case you didn't know...

Triple H took Jason Jordan's spot at Survivor Series after Jordan suffered a kayfabe injury. He also teased a feud with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle while he was in the process, leading to some speculations of a possible match-up between him and Angle at WrestleMania 34.

What's interesting about the Survivor Series Elimination match is that it features quite a few of Triple H's NXT Superstars such as Finn Balor and Samoa Joe on the RAW side, and Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura on the other side.

The heart of the matter

Triple H told NBC Sports that he would fantasy book matches against some superstars and mentioned his excitement at facing Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series.

I did an interview a few years ago when Nakamura was first coming in and they asked me if there were guys I would like to wrestle and I was like yeah, I’d like to wrestle him. Am I planning to do it? No, but it would be awesome if I could just fantasy book it in my head. Now I’m going to be able to actually get in the ring with him.

Shinsuke Nakamura was definitely among Triple H's top-tier talent at NXT and it's great that he gets a huge moment with The King Of Strong Style at Survivor Series.

One mustn't forget that he's bound to go head-to-head with Bobby Roode as well, which is a dream match in many eyes.

What's next?

Triple H has a huge match ahead of him at Survivor Series and it's good that he's gotten back to in-ring shape the past month or so, doing multiple live events from South America to Europe.

Author's take

It truly must be a crowning moment in the feather cap of Triple H getting to team with and facing some of his favourite NXT Superstars. It also shows how far WWE has come and their reliance in now using former NXT Superstars for the main roster.
