WWE News: Two matches added to tonight's Survivor Series KickOff show
WWE has confirmed two more matches will take place the 2-hour long Survivor Series KickOff Show tonight from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
WWE's Cathy Kelly reported the news in a video on their Facebook page.
Kelly firstly outlined that RAW's Matt Hardy would take on Elias in a singles match on the PPV's KickOff.
Then, Kelly surprisingly announced that the other bout added to the KickOff was a tag-team match with SmackDown Live's Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. Breezango.
Considering how Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were being pushed since Hell in a Cell, it is quite shocking that WWE have put them on the PreShow.
However, the pair were sent home from WWE's recent European Tour.
This was apparently because of the 7th of November SmackDown Live episode in Manchester, England. When Sami Zayn lost to Kofi Kingston and Owens attacked Kingston after the bell, WWE wanted Zayn and Owens to stay in the ring to get beaten down by New Day's Xavier Woods and Big E, setting up the two teams for a match against one another on the episode of SmackDown the following week.
Instead, Owens and Zayn left the ring when Woods and E entered it to save their buddy Kofi, ruining WWE's plans.
This did not please officials backstage, and it resulted in the pair being taken off the rest of the Tour.
There were rumours however, that all this was just a big misunderstanding.
The guys were back on TV this week, but WWE putting the Zayn and Owens on the PreShow against Breezango may be their punishment.
Already scheduled for the Survivor KickOff is the Cruiserweight Title Match with the current champion Enzo Amore vs. Kalisto.
The main card is great for tonight's PPV, with WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. RAW Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in the main event, as well as the big Team RAW vs SmackDown 5-on-5 Men and Women matches
But it now seems that with the likes of Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Matt Hardy, even the KickOff show is going to be well worth a watch tonight.
