WWE News: Two Tag Teams make the jump to SmackDown Live
What's the story?
SmackDown Live's Tag Team Division became even more competitive with the newest additions after the Superstar Shakeup. The Tag Team Division was already stacked with The New Day, The Usos, and the SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, The Bludgeon Brothers.
The newest additions to the roster were from Raw, as the two former Raw Tag Team Title Holders, The Bar and The Good Brothers made the jump to the Blue Brand.
In case you didn't know...
The Good Brothers, though they are former Raw Tag Team Champions, have not been in the Tag Team title scene for some time now and were lost in the shuffle on the Raw roster. They did not have any storylines that they were involved in and had to make do with occasional television appearances.
Sheamus and Cesaro were the last people to hold the Raw Tag Team Championships before they were beaten at WrestleMania by the surprising team of Braun Strowman and Nicholas. The titles were then vacated as Nicholas had 'scheduling conflicts' and a Tag Team Elimination Tournament was organized.
The winners of the tournament were Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy, who earned the right to face Sheamus and Cesaro at the Greatest Royal Rumble event by beating The Revival.
The heart of the matter
The Bar and The Good Brothers were the latest additions to the SmackDown Live Tag Team division. The second night of the Superstar Shakeup saw both teams make the jump to the Blue Brand.
While the Good Brothers were not involved in any storyline, The Bar is set for a shot at the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles at the Greatest Royal Rumble event on the 27th of April. What happens if they win the titles remains a big question, as the Raw Tag Team Titles should be exclusive to the Raw brand.
What's next?
The Bar is set to face the team of "Woken" Matt Hardy and the reincarnated Bray Wyatt, for the Raw Tag Team Championships on the 27th of April.
Author's take
This change means that it is likely that The Bar will lose the Raw Tag Team Title match, and Bray and Matt will become the new Tag Team Champions as the Raw titles cannot be brought over to SmackDown Live.
The Good Brothers will also pose a serious challenge to current Tag Team Title Holders, The Bludgeon Brothers, as their in-ring styles match well.
