WWE News: Three title matches announced for the Sin City episode of SmackDown Live
What's the story?
The next episode of SmackDown Live will take place in Las Vegas, and WWE has announced three huge title matches for the show: Natalya vs. Naomi for the Women's Championship, The Usos vs. The New Day for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships in a Sin City Street Fight, and AJ Styles vs. Tye Dillinger for the United States Championship.
In case you didn't know...
The Usos and The New Day have great chemistry and are destined to battle until the end of time. The reigning Champions had the opportunity to pick a stipulation for their title defence next week, and they chose to try their luck in a Sin City Street Fight.
Natalya won the Women's title from Naomi at Summerslam as well. Since then, she has feuded with Carmella, but things are far from over between her and Naomi.
Meanwhile, AJ Styles granted Tye Dillinger a title shot after the latter's problems with Baron Corbin.
The heart of the matter
It was announced on WWE that when Smackdown Live goes to Vegas next week, there will be two title matches.
The first one that was announced was the one between Naomi and Natalya where Naomi invoked her rematch clause for the WWE Smackdown Live Women's Title.
The second match was announced by Daniel Bryan backstage, as The Usos declared the stipulation for their rematch with New Day. They decided on a Sin City Street Fight for next week's Smackdown Live. Daniel Bryan made it official and now the New Day will face them next week in Vegas in the street fight.
Baron Corbin defeated Tye Dillinger after using a manoeuvre that AJ Styles, who was on commentary, defined as a ' cheap shot.' The Phenomenal One then sought out a disconsolate Dillinger backstage and granted him a title shot.
What's next?
The street fight for the Usos will be one of the hotter matches next week. The Usos have improved greatly over the last few weeks, and New Day will need to be careful with Xavier Woods injured.
On the other hand, Natalya has looked strong since her victory at Summerslam. Despite being a heel, she is quite over, and Naomi will need to bring her A-game next week.
Dillinger is a good worker, but he will not defeat AJ Styles for the United States Championship.
Author's take
The Usos and Natalya are both amazing heel champions. They are both more over than they have been for a while, and the championships do their image a lot of good.
Meanwhile, AJ Styles is possibly the best wrestler in the world, and he has the potential to have a special run with the United States Championship.
