WWE News: Two top international stars qualify for WWE Global Cruiserweight Series
WWE’s Global Cruiserweight Series is set to get two talented individuals in the form of British wrestling superstars Zack Sabre Jr. and Jack Gallager, who will compete in the tournament in a little over two months – reports wrestlinginc.com.
The duo earned a place in the competition after emerging victorious in the qualifying matches at a PROGRESS Wrestling event, which was confirmed by WWE’s official website.
Sabre, who is labelled by many as one of the best unsigned wrestlers in the world, managed to overcome up-and-comer Flash Morgan Webster to book his berth in this summer's event, which is something that many fans are looking forward to.
Gallagher, a technician who boasts of experience in mixed martial arts, got the best of hard-hitting "Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne in the second qualifying match to cement his position among other top competitors in the GCS.
Besides the British duo, Rich Swann, Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Akira Tozawa, Lince Dorado and Ho Ho Lun have also been confirmed as competitors.
The Global Cruiserweight Series, which is set to feature 32 of the world's best competitors under 205 pounds lock horns for the prestigious belt, is set to go on the floors on Wednesday, July 13, at 9/8 C, only on the WWE Network.
Needless to say, this event will be one to watch out for.
