WWE News: Two traditional elimination matches announced for Survivor Series
The WWE did not delay the build for Survivor Series at all. On the fallout episode of TLC on Raw, Kurt Angle opened the show by coming out to announce several matches for Survivor Series. Among the matches were two traditional Raw vs SmackDown Five on Five Elimination Tag matches, one for the men, and the other for the women.
Traditionally, at Survivor Series, WWE Stars from SmackDown and Raw face each other to decide which is the better show. There is always at least one Five on Five Elimination match, where the stars take on each other till the members of only one team remain standing.
The other matches which were announced were, Jinder Mahal vs Brock Lesnar, The Usos vs Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, Baron Corbin vs The Miz as well as Alexa Bliss vs Natalya. With the Champions of each brand set to face each other, the Five on Five matches will not feature a single champion of either brand.
With less than a month left for Survivor Series, Kurt Angle announced that he would decide the Survivor Series Men's team later in the show. For the women's match, with the limited number of women available, it would not be too difficult to decide the team. Kurt Angle announced a Triple Threat match to decide who would captain the Raw Women's team between Alicia Fox, Bayley and Sasha Banks. Alicia Fox emerged as the victor in the Triple Threat, thereby becoming the captain of the Raw Women's team.
Kurt was going to mention Raw's stars for Survivor Series, but SmackDown Live invaded Raw and completely decimated the stars in the backstage area. Kurt was unable to announce the Men's team on Raw, as SmackDown Live fired the first shot on the road to Survivor Series.
Raw will need to be well prepared for SmackDown Live as they seem to have their game face on. Angle will most probably announce his team members during the next episode of Raw.
