WWE News: Two very interesting matches added to Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View
What's the story?
WWE bizarrely took to Twitter before Monday Night Raw to announce two new matches for its Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View featuring a number of top Raw Superstars, with Braun Strowman and Finn Balor set to be in action at their next big show.
In case you didn't know...
Elimination Chamber is this weekend and had five announced matches on the card before this announcement, featuring two of the titular Elimination Chamber matches, one for the men and one for the women. The card was as follows,
Daniel Bryan (C) Vs. Mustafa Ali Vs. Randy Orton Vs. Jeff Hardy Vs. AJ Styles Vs. Samoa Joe - WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match
The Boss 'N' Hug Connection Vs. Riott Squad Vs. IIconics Vs. Nia Jax and Tamina Vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville Vs. Naomi and Carmella - Women's Tag Team Title Elimination Chamber Match
Ronda Rousey (C) Vs. Ruby Riott - Raw Women's Title Match
Shane McMahon and Miz (C) Vs. The Usos - SmackDown Tag-Team Title Match
Buddy Murphy (C) Vs. Akira Tozawa - Cruiserweight Title Match
The heart of the matter
WWE tweeted out a video with Charley Caruso announcing that she'd learned that two huge matches would be added to the upcoming Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View event.
The first match is Finn Balor taking on both Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush in a handicap match for the Intercontinental Title. Interestingly, Caruso confirmed that if Balor pins Lio Rush during the match instead of Bobby Lashley, he will still become the new Intercontinental Title.
The second match is Braun Strowman Vs. Baron Corbin, which will presumably end just as badly for Corbin as his PPV match against Finn Balor did.
What's next?
There are now seven matches on the Elimination Chamber card, and I fully expect a couple more to be added, with Rey Mysterio Vs. Andrade ("Cien" Almas R.I.P) being my best bet to be added.
