WWE News: Tyler Breeze's contract status revealed
What’s the story?
Tyler Breeze has been back in WWE NXT for a couple of months and is doing well. Prince Pretty was recently asked by a fan on Twitter if he was considering a return to the main roster any time soon, to which the star replied that he has no intentions right now. He also went on to reveal that he has two years left on his current deal with the company.
In case you didn’t know…
Breeze was a star on NXT and a fan favorite as well before he made his main roster debut in 2015. He was off to a decent start but never seen as the main event star by the WWE creative team.
He never managed to win any gold in his time and was mainly used as a midcarder to fill in small slots during the shows. Breeze teamed up with Fandango for 3 years before asking for a return to NXT.
He confirmed in the Twitter Q&A last month that he was the one who requested the return and was not forced or punished. Breeze also added that Triple H was in favor of the decision and made the final call.
The heart of the matter
Breeze is enjoying his time back in the ring for NXT and it looks like he plans on staying there for the time being.
A fan asked: “do you have any desire to make it back to raw or sd, or are you planning on finishing your current run in nxt?”. Breeze replied that he has 2 years left on his contract and has not decided anything yet.
What’s next?
Tyler Breeze defeated Anthony Greene at EVOLVE 130 over the weekend, just days after facing losing to Roderick Strong in NXT. The loss came due to a distraction from Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly and thus, a rematch against Strong is on the cards.
