WWE News: Uncut version of the Ultimate Deletion released by the WWE
What's the story?
A week after the chaos of Ultimate Deletion played out at the Hardy Compound, the WWE has released an uncut 17-minute version of the video on their YouTube channel on Monday afternoon.
In case you didn't know...
The Broken Hardy character debuted on Impact Wrestling television in the spring of 2016 when Matt was trying everything to defeat his brother Jeff that it made him mad. Before the Ultimate Deletion, there were three special segments on Impact Wrestling, The Final Deletion, Delete or Decay, and Total Nonstop Deletion; which was an entire episode of Impact Wrestling at the Hardy Compound.
The heart of the matter
Take a look at the uncut video from YouTube below:
Last Tuesday, the WWE released several videos, but they were only clips of the Ultimate Deletion. The Hulu 90-minute Raw replay also didn't have this segment so this is the first time that they have released the entire match in its entirety for the WWE Universe to see.
The epic 17-minute match saw many familiar cornerstones of the Broken Hardy series, including the Dome of Deletion, fireworks, Skarsgard the dilapidated boat, and the Lake of Reincarnation.
Speaking of the lake, the match ended when Jeff Hardy made his debut as Brother Nero and distracted Bray enough to fall into a Twist of Fate to lose the match. Bray declared the Great War was far from over, but Matt took a kendo stick and cross-checked Bray into the Lake of Reincarnation.
Senior Benjamin tried to retrieve the body but was unsuccessful leaving us with the cliffhanger of what happen to Wyatt.
What's next?
Expect some sort of aftermath from the Ultimate Deletion to air on this week's Monday Night Raw; which takes place from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. There are also rumors swirling that Jeff Hardy is backstage for tonight's show.
Author's take
As I stated in my 11 moments I loved from the Ultimate Deletion article, this segment was everything I wanted in the WWE debut of this segment in the Broken/WOKEN saga. It was well-done, had some very creative and hilarious moments, and it left us with a cliffhanger.
It'll be very interesting to see where they go next with WOKEN Matt Hardy. We may find out the next steps tonight. I fully expect Matt to participate in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, unless Jeff, or Brother Nero, is cleared to compete at WrestleMania.
