WWE News: Undertaker spotted with Impact Wrestling stars
What's the story?
The Undertaker isn't the mythical kayfabe figure he once used to be as the Deadman has frequently been spotted at public appearances in recent months.
There was a time when WWE TV was the only avenue for fans to witness the WWE legend, but nowadays, you may just bump into the non-character version of him at a convention or trade show.
At one such recent gathering, Impact Wrestling stars Eli Drake and Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie were surprised to see The Undertaker in attendance and didn't miss out on the opportunity of taking a photo with the iconic WWE superstar.
In case you didn't know...
Undertaker last appeared on WWE TV when he teamed up with Kane to take on Triple H and Shawn Michaels at WWE Crown Jewel on November 2nd, 2018.
The Phenom had quite a busy 2018 considering his part-time status with the company as he wrestled four matches. He won two of them against John Cena and Rusev at WrestleMania 34 and Greatest Royal Rumble respectively before dropping the 'Last Time Ever' clash against Triple H at Super Show-Down and the aforementioned Crown Jewel tag team match.
The 7-time WWE Champion has been enjoying his time as a normal human being ever since working the main event in Saudi Arabia as he has made his presence felt at wrestling meet-and-greets and conventions. He was also part of an out-of-character interview with Ed Young that gave ardent fans an insightful look into the man behind the supernatural character.
Taker continues to be in the public spotlight, however, his latest appearance will get a lot of fans talking for sure...
The heart of the matter
Undertaker was at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas -- a trade show that showcases target shooting, hunting, law enforcement, and other relevant outdoor products. The show has been a regular feature at Las Vegas's Expo Centre consecutively for the past 10 years and attracts some big names owing to its overall 40-year history. Undertaker wasn't the only pro wrestler at the show as Eli Drake and Taya Valkyrie were also representing Impact.
It seems like the esoteric capabilities of Taker are still active outside the WWE as he appeared in front of Drake ten seconds after the former Impact World Champion had uttered the word 'Undertaker'.
It's amusing to see Taker pose with stars from WWE's rival promotion with Impact Wrestling logos in the background. Nonetheless, it made for a great moment for fans of both the companies.
What's next?
Undertaker's immediate future has been a matter of intense speculation with WrestleMania 35 being just around the corner. This could be the first WrestleMania in 19 years that would be devoid of a quintessential Taker match, however, plans could still be chalked out in time for the show of shows.
