WWE News: Undertaker's cancelled matches fuel retirement rumors
The period following WrestleMania is a treat for all wrestling fans because of the big moves the WWE makes. One of the most anticipated is the annual post-WrestleMania tour of the UK and Europe.
It was reported earlier this year that The Undertaker was scheduled to appear at least twice in the UK. The Phenom was booked to team with the Big Show against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan at the Newcastle Arena. Harper’s knee injury has forced a slight change in these plans, and Taker will team with Kane to take on Rowan and Braun Strowman.
The Undertaker is currently scheduled to appear on the April 19th episode of SmackDown, but his opponent hasn’t been announced yet. Fans in other parts of Europe will be disappointed because they will not see the Phenom live in action, as advertised. The Undertaker’s appearances in Brussels, Paris and Malaga on April 21st, 22nd and 23rd respectively have been nixed.
No explanation is reported as yet, but the rumour has spread that Undertaker was overheard telling people backstage in Dallas that his match with Shane was his last. He was reportedly backstage on the RAW after WrestleMania, but did not come out because there wasn’t anything written for him.
