WWE News: Update on Alicia Fox's Injury
What's the story?
The first ever Woman's Royal Rumble on January 28 was a monumental step for women's roster in WWE. However, WWE Superstar Alicia Fox's untimely injury left her out of the match and could keep her out of action for a few months.
In case you didn't know...
Fox was scheduled to be in the historic Royal Rumble but injured herself prior to the pay per view. The news broke earlier in the day that Fox had broken her tailbone in pre-Rumble rehearsals.
The heart of the matter
According to PWInsider, it seems that Fox won't be returning to WWE TV anytime soon. The broken tailbone she suffered will keep her away from Monday nights for a few months.
While many were hoping that she will come back to the show in the week following the Royal Rumble, some were expecting her to return after a couple of weeks in order to churn out a new story to involve other women on the roster. However, this speculation seems to be irrelevant with the recent update of her injury.
What's Next?
While Fox is out recovering, the women's division plans on taking another step forward and will have their own Elimination Chamber at the pay-per-view of the same name on February 25.
Author's Take
It's tough to see Alicia Fox miss this Rumble. While she may not be the greatest worker, she's been a mainstay with the company for a decade now. She was a former champion and has been a part of some important storylines in the women's division since her debut back in 2008.
Hopefully, she recovers quickly so that she can still be a part of WrestleMania to some. extent.
