WWE News: Update on Braun Strowman's 'injury' status following TLC 2017

Did Braun Strowman survive Kane's murder attempt?
Did Braun Strowman survive Kane's murder attempt?

What's the story?

In case you missed it on Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole took some time out from calling matches to update us on the storyline status of Braun Strowman following the injuries sustained at the hands of the trash compactor.

In case you didn't know...

Braun Strowman was a part of the TLC 2017 main event where he teamed with The Miz, The Bar and Kane to take on Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

The night didn't go well for Strowman, as he found himself getting Chokeslammed through the stage by Kane, buried under a row of chairs (also by Kane), and then trapped in the back of a trash compactor and actually crushed by all of his, so-called, teammates.

The heart of the matter

Many who were watching TLC believed they had just witnessed a murder. Sure, Braun Strowman is 'The Monster Among Men' and not even Roman Reigns' attempted vehicular manslaughter with the ambulance could keep him down for long. But, surely, even he can't survive being compacted in a trash compactor?

Well, Michael Cole believes that not only did Strowman survive the ordeal, but that he will be back in action eventually. Cole stated that it could be 'weeks, or even months' until we see Braun Strowman again.

Obviously, this is all part of a storyline, Braun Strowman is, of course, fine and was actually backstage during Monday Night Raw. Quite how the SmackDown LIVE mob didn't bump into him isn't clear, but he was definitely there.

What's next?

'The Big Red Monster' Kane cut a promo on Monday Night Raw stating that he wanted to be the only 'Monster' on the show, hence why he decided to flat-out murder Braun Strowman on live television.

I believe that Kane's temporary reign of terror will be ended by Strowman, who could be back sooner than we think, probably in time for Survivor Series.

Author's take

When you have storylines like this, I really don't understand how people can say they don't like professional wrestling. A man gets compacted like trash by someone who regularly likes setting people on fire, that's entertainment folks.
