What's the story?

Former WWE Superstar, The Rock, turned 47 yesterday, and birthday wishes began pouring in from several wrestling personalities and fans.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon wasn't one to sit back, and sent a birthday wish to The Rock, addressing him by his world-famous moniker of "The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment". Vince also took a cheeky jibe at The Rock, stating that he must've planned a massive cheat meal for the occasion.

In case you didn't know...

The Rock came into the WWE during the mid-90s. His always cheerful babyface persona flopped gloriously, and the 3rd generation Superstar began getting booed by the live crowds, with people showering him with chants of "Die Rocky, die".

This led to Vince McMahon tweaking Rocky Maivia's personality and turning him heel, and the rest is history. The Rock went on to become quite possibly the greatest Superstar in the history of the business, alongside the likes of Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin. He also became a legit movie star and one of the highest paid actors of this generation.

Despite his Hollywood commitments, The Rock has taken out time on multiple occasions to come back for the sake of his fans as well as his former boss, Vince McMahon.

The heart of the matter

Vince McMahon posted a tweet on the occasion of The Rock's birthday, taking a light-hearted jibe at The Rock's eating schedule. It's no secret that The Great One boasts one of the most impressive physiques in Hollywood and consistently puts in an effort towards keeping his body in shape, with a bunch of cheat meals thrown in between as a reward for his gym escapades.

What's next?

The Rock is all set to appear in the upcoming movie, "Hobbs & Shaw", which is a spin-off to the hit movie series "The Fast & The Furious". The Sportskeeda community wishes a very happy birthday to The Rock!
