WWE News: Vince McMahon unimpressed by NXT

Never anger your boss

Since mid-2013, NXT ( formerly Florida Championship Wrestling or FCW ) is serving as WWE’s developmental branch. Though a developmental centre for the getting an opportunity on the main roster, NXT has been popular for the quality of wrestling it features, catchy storylines and more opportunity for the female wrestlers there. This success, led to the NXT: Takeovers, available on the WWE Network, much like WWE pay-per-views.

Several wrestlers of the current roster, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Wyatt Family, Neville, Paige, Sasha Banks, and many more began their journey towards success in NXT. The 1-hour show has thus garnered the respect of both critics as well as casual fans. Even, Triple H and Ryan Ward were awarded Best Booker of 2015 (for NXT).

Unfortunately, some popular wrestlers gimmick of NXT has suffered considerably in the main roster (Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, etc). They failed to gain steam on the bigger stage. These things have made the chairman, Vince McMahon, a bit frustrated.

According to some reports from allwrestlingnews.com, Vince McMahon is not a big fan of NXT. He feels that NXT is just a touring product and he believes that it is filled with several wrestlers who aren’t really bankable in the future.

Not only this, the NXT roster was disgruntled over the misuse of Tyler Breeze, after his main roster debut in November 2015. Some of them are upset over the fact that Tyler is treated as a “jobber” nowadays, despite the hype and buildup he achieved from the ‘Breaking Ground’ series.
