WWE News: What happened after Monday Night RAW went off the air?
What's the story?
After tonight's edition of Monday Night RAW, the WWE Universe at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, weren't treated to WWE's usual post-show dark match.
In case you didn't know...
As per tradition, after the cameras stop rolling, the WWE treats their fans in the arena to an exclusive singles or tag team match, featuring their favourite superstars. However, it seems that WWE made an exception today for reasons best known to them.
The heart of the matter
Tonight's main event on RAW was an eight-man tag team match featuring the teams of the RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose tagging alongside The Hardy Boyz to take on the teams of Gallows & Anderson and Sheamus & Cesaro. Seth Rollins won the match for his team by pinning Karl Anderson.
After the show went off the air, Rollins & Ambrose greeted fans at ringside along with The Hardy Boyz.
It was another action-packed episode of RAW, with Roman Reigns once again engaging in a promo battle with John Cena. Similarly, Brock Lesnar once again got power-slammed by his rival for No Mercy, Braun Strowman. The Miz announced that Maryse was pregnant with their first child, and in the main event, John Cena faced Braun Strowman.
What's next?
Tensions are rising high, as WWE's just two weeks away from the No Mercy PPV. No updates announced yet regarding next week's show.
Author's take
Lately, Monday Night RAW's been hitting all the right notes by creating interesting storylines and improving their cast of characters. Tonight's episode was no different as the fans were treated to a host of memorable moments.
If this is how good the show's going to be for a while, it'll take a lot of fire power for SmackDown LIVE to catch-up to it.
