WWE News: What happened after RAW went off air
What's the story?
This week's action-packed edition of RAW had a high-profile match after WWE RAW went off the air. Braun Strowman and Kane -- who have been going at it for weeks -- faced off in a singles match, post-RAW.
In case you didn't know...
Braun Strowman and Kane's feud began at the TLC PPV when Kane attacked Strowman, who was his teammate in a 5-on-3 handicap match, alongside The Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus.
Strowman took revenge on Kane and put him through the ring on RAW and the feud has continued ever since.
On last week's episode of RAW, a number 1 contender match for the right to face Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble, ended in a double countout.
The heart of the matter
And on this week's episode of RAW, Strowman, Kane and Lesnar were all in the ring at the same time when it was announced by RAW GM, Kurt Angle that the match at Royal Rumble would be a triple threat match involving the three Superstars, for the Universal Championship.
After RAW, Kane and Strowman renewed their rivalry in the dark match, and as has been the case in the past few meetings, Kane attacked Strowman with a steel chair.
He then set up a table in the middle of the ring and was to chokeslam Strowman onto the chair, but The Monster Among Men countered and put Kane through the table with a running powerslam, and winning the match.
What's next?
The feud between Kane and Strowman is set to continue at least till Royal Rumble, while Lesnar may make a handful of appearances to hype up the triple threat match.
Author's take
The Kane vs Strowman feud is getting long in the tooth and I feel Strowman should face off against someone younger and make him look good.
