WWE News: What happened after Raw went off the air?

John C
Cena and Reigns teamed up after Raw went off-air

What's the story?

After a pretty eventful WWE Monday Night Raw went off the air, a tag team match between The Bar and the surprising team of Roman Reigns and John Cena took place.

In case you didn’t know…

The fallout Raw after the Elimination Chamber PPV was an eventful one. John Cena announced his plan to go over to SmackDown Live to try and punch a ticket to New Orleans, after losing at the Elimination Chamber.

Other matches included singles competition between Bray Wyatt and Heath Slater, The Miz taking on Seth Rollins and Finn Balor in two different matches, Braun Strowman vs Elias, a woman's tag match, and finally a great promo by Roman Reigns on Brock Lesnar.

There was also a segment with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle, which all but confirmed their rumoured tag match at WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

On Raw this past week, Raw Tag Team Champions The Bar took on Titus Worldwide in a 2-out-of-3 falls tag team bout, with The Bar picking up the win 2-0 without much ado.

After the cameras stopped rolling, The Bar was involved in another match, this time against the unlikely duo of John Cena and Roman Reigns. There was said to be many humorous moments during the match, as well as a lot of mic work. Cena and Reigns defeated The Bar, but since it was not a title match, The Bar retained their Championships.

What's next?

With John Cena set to appear tonight on SmackDown Live, it remains to be seen what the 16-time World Champion has planned for WrestleMania. Most rumors doing the rounds suggest that John Cena is still set to take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania and that Cena denying the claim on Raw and his SmackDown move are just distractions for the moment.

Author's take

Usually, once the cameras stop rolling, the wrestlers are more relaxed and often get creative on the mic, having casual interactions with the fans. The arena fans are usually in for a treat, once the cameras stopped rolling.

In the past, The Rock and more recently Chris Jericho have been part of some amazing and funny dark segments.
