WWE News: What happened after WWE RAW 18 April, 2016 went off air?

Ambrose had his hand raised in back-to-back matches

Vince McMahon’s generosity did not diminish as the WWE went across the pond to the United Kingdom, as he let the Prodigal Son have the run of the O2 Arena in London. Shane has ticked every box on his dad’s imposing checklist during the past two RAWs and looked to keep the bar from dipping this week as well.

Today’s RAW wasn’t the worst, it wasn’t the best, but it made the most of what was at hand. A couple of suspensions and Bray Wyatt’s injury left the sails tattered but RAW braved it all and saw it through.

Just like the RAWs preceding WrestleMania, things started off with a bang as Shane came out in the first few minutes and made big moves. He set up two huge matches at WWE Payback shortly after the curtains went up and gave the WWE-crazy Brits a little appetizer by pitting Sami Zayn against Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose against Kevin Owens.

Zayn fell short while Ambrose one-upped Owens in a Royal Rumble rematch that didn’t seem to make us miss the stipulation. Jericho blindsided Ambrose with a Codebreaker after the latter’s main event win.

Jericho and Owens continued to beat down Ambrose until AJ Styles came to the Lunatic Fringe’s rescue and a tag team match was set up. The faces won, after which Y2J demanded that Styles shake his hand in respect. His opponents obliged in their own individualistic fashions, and hopefully Jericho will sleep off the effects of the Styles Clash and Dirty Deeds before SmackDown tomorrow.
