WWE News: WOKEN Matt Hardy reacts to participating in the 205 Live tour in a "broken" way
What's the story?
Sportskeeda reported on Sunday that Bray Wyatt v. WOKEN Matt Hardy was added to the 205 Live tour of the northeast that starts on January 19th. In his own Broken Brilliance, Hardy would comment on the addition of the tour. Take a look at his tweet below:
In case you didn't know...
The term "spot monkey" was a creation of Broken Matt Hardy when he was a part of Impact Wrestling. The term first came about when Matt and Jeff were at Matt's personal zoo, and they came upon a monkey cage where the animals were bouncing all around.
Matt would compare these jumping monkeys to The Bucks Of Youth (or The Young Bucks) by calling them spot monkeys. It would become a regular part of Broken Matt's lexicon going forward.
The heart of the matter
With the 205 Live tour starting in the third week of January, it's probably safe to assume that WOKEN Matt Hardy will take on Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble on January 28th, or will have a major segment in the Rumble match itself.
This also could be a precursor to WOKEN Matt interacting with the Cruiserweights on WWE television. He would have something in common with Drew Gulak as Hardy is against these "spot monkeys" flying around the ring. A ring that Gulak declares to be a no-fly zone for a better 205 Live.
What's next?
We'll probably see a progression in the WOKEN Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt feud on this week's edition of Monday Night Raw. The past two weeks have featured alternating vignettes between the two. At the time of this writing, it is unknown if the two wrestlers are physically at Raw tonight, or if another vignette will air.
Author's take
I'll admit, I have weird dreams, but once Matt became Woken, one of my wishes was for him to randomly appear on 205 Live or during a Cruiserweight match on Monday Night Raw and start calling everyone spot monkeys.
While the inclusion of Hardy and Wyatt to the tour was to add some star power to these WWE Live events, this opens the door to have WOKEN Matt Hardy to interact with the Cruiserweights on WWE television in the future.
If anyone remembers the interactions between Broken Matt and The Young Bucks, they were very entertaining promos. Some random guest spots on the Cruiserweight portion of Raw 205 Live would give the division a tremendous boost.
