WWE News: WrestleMania 34 broke records for revenue and attendance figures
What's the story?
WWE's largest pay-per-view event of the year, WrestleMania, took place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome stadium in New Orleans this year. WrestleMania 34 took place in New Orleans, featuring titles matches for each of the WWE Championships as well as the debut of Ronda Rousey and the in-ring wrestling return of Daniel Bryan after 3 years' absence from wrestling due to injury.
WWE announced on their site, WWE.com, WrestleMania 34 broke records of the highest attendance figures and revenue at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome arena, and became the 'highest-grossing entertainment event'.
In case you didn't know...
WrestleMania 34 saw several marquee matchups between stars and saw several twists and surprises as well. The event saw the end of Asuka's Undefeated Streak which had long surpassed the streak record set by Goldberg in WCW. It was witness to the Nakamura turning his back on the fans as he assaulted AJ Styles in a cowardly move after Styles had defeated Nakamura in their match-up for the WWE Championship.
The event also saw Ronda Rousey debut, as well as the in-ring return of Daniel Bryan, and the surprise young partner of Braun Strowman.
The heart of the matter
WrestleMania 34 was the site of several records being broken as the event broke the previous records of the event with most attendance figures and revenue, both of which had been set by WrestleMania 30.
Whereas WrestleMania 30 had grossed $10.9 Million and 75,167 fans attended it, WrestleMania 34 made $14.1 Million and had a sold-out crowd of 78,133 fans. The fans came from all 50 of the United States and from 67 countries worldwide.
WrestleMania 34 also ranked 6th as the all-time attendance records of WrestleManias. The other WrestleManias with more attendance figures than the 2018 edition were as follows:

WrestleMania 35 is set to be held at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The fallout from WrestleMania 34 will take place on the coming Raw and SmackDown.

WrestleMania 34 was one of the all-time great WrestleManias. Almost each of the matches and segments did their jobs right and the execution by the stars was flawless.
