The Grandest Stage of Them All returns to Florida in 2020.

What's the story?

After months of speculation as to just where WrestleMania 36 will be held, some news regarding its home will be announced tomorrow.

The Tampa Bay Times have carried a report saying Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay will host WrestleMania 36.

In case you missed it . . .

Over the last year or so, cities like Tampa Bay, Orlando and Minneapolis have been in the running to host the 36th Showcase of the Immortals.

Last year, the event was held in New Orleans while this year's show will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The heart of the matter

WWE plans its PPV events at least a year in advance, so it's no surprise that next year's venue is being announced a month before this year's show.

The report from the Tampa Bay Times notes that WWE officials will announce Thursday at 11 AM that the home for WrestleMania 36 will be Tampa's Raymond James Stadium.

Another report from Sports Illustrated that covered the news notes that next year will mark the fourth time that a Florida city has hosted a WrestleMania event.

Orlando hosted the show in 2008 and 2017 while Miami played host to the event in 2012. Tampa Bay beat out Minneapolis to host the show next year.

Sports Illustrated also noted that next year will mark the 14th consecutive year that a WrestleMania will take place in a football stadium.

Tampa Bay apparently submitted a bid last May with hopes of hosting a WrestleMania in either 2023, 2024 or 2025. It appears that they got their wish three years earlier once tomorrow's announcement makes things official for 2020.

What's next?

Now that next year's venue has been secured, the build to this year's show can continue to take center stage.

The Fastlane PPV takes place this Sunday and is the last stop on the Road to WrestleMania. Several big matches like Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte, Daniel Bryan vs. Kevin Owens and the Usos vs. Shane McMahon and the Miz will go a long way in setting up the matches for the Superstars mentioned above.
