WWE News: WWE announces first ever Arabic show

WWE have been attempting to expand their horizons when it comes to their international presence for a long time now

What’s the story?

WWE’s Stephanie McMahon has revealed details about WWE’s first ever Arabic show on OSN. McMahon, who has been helping to create relationships with many new markets, announced the news during her ongoing trip to Dubai.

In case you didn’t know...

WWE have been attempting to expand their horizons when it comes to their international presence for a long time now, with markets such as China and Russia being high on their priority list.

However, it seems that above both of those nations in the hierarchy of importance is the United Arab Emirates with the company even holding trials there recently.

The heart of the matter

As you can see in the tweet above, Stephanie has announced the details of the WWE’s first ever show to be broadcast only in Arabic. WWE Wal3ooha will take place on OSN, with fans being able to tune in at 8pm KSA time every Thursday night.

This is the latest in a string of marketing techniques by WWE.

What’s next?

We understand that the show will be up and running shortly, with the presenters likely being the two individuals that can be seen in the above image with Stephanie. We’ll have to wait and see whether they’ll be able to have any Superstars on the show, which could be key when it comes to boosting their numbers and ratings in the months to come.

Author’s take

This is great news for everyone involved with WWE, as the Arabic fan base has been largely untouched for quite some time now. With so many big countries around the region, the company could see merchandise and ticket sales skyrocket courtesy of this latest move. Bravo, Stephanie.
